Whilst shopping in the store, with drinks and refreshments provided by Patisserie Valerie, guests contributed to the fundraising for the two charities Giambrone & Law will be supporting for 2008, Tourism Concern and da Vision. Seminar organised by Giambrone & Law in association with the British Italian Law Association (BILA) within BILA's yearly programme of lectures, conferences and legal events aimed at lawyers and other professionals interested in gaining in-depth knowledge on current issues of Italian and English Law. The lawyers of Giambrone & Law welcomed a group of dignitaries from the Council of Palermo at the Strand Head Office for a breakfast reception, during the delegates' visit to London for the project "Palermo Capital of the Euromediterranean". Supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Industry in the UK, Viva Italia Show brought us the very best of Italian produce, fashion and entertainment as well as the tastes and smells of regional Italian cooking. Once again, Giambrone & Law was presented at the show, with our teams of Italian avvocati and European lawyers to answer all queries from our visitors and to offer insight on particular aspects of the Italian legal system. The event proved a great success, and the firm would like to thank all those who attended notwithstanding a major Underground strike on the day. The joint seminar, organised by Giambrone & Law with New Court Chambers at the venues of the Law Society in Chancery Lane, London, outlined the consequences of the break-up of a Civil Partnership in both Italian and UK jurisdictions. The key areas covered included: Laws of Succession & Tax Efficient Wills, Property Ownership, Assets Overseas, Child Related Applications. Throughout the event, the firm's lawyers and solicitors lectured on a number of interestig topics relating to Italian law and hosted a rinfresco at their stand with show visitors and fellow exhibitiors. Exhibitors at the show learnt key issues within the property industry and forged new partnerships and alliances. Endorsed by the Italian “Ministero delle Attivita’ Produttive” and supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Industry in the UK, Viva Italia 2006 introduced the latest trends and classical charm of all things “Made in Italy”, showcasing new products and brands, from food and wine to travel, fashion and leisure.
